Why Should I Care?

For starters, no one’s parents want a call about a broken device or a bill in the mail. That should be your main reason to look after your gadgets. Beyond that, mistreating or breaking your device slowly makes life harder for whoever gets that Chromebook next (well, not if it’s already busted).

At the helpdesk, resources are limited. Parts can be scarce and repairs often take the better part of a class period. Covering your Chromebook with stickers doesn’t help—I'm pretty sure you'd rather use your Chromebook than be stuck with a slower loaner.

Just imagine if we didn’t have Chromebooks — everything on paper. I can almost feel the wrist pain from here. So, maybe it’s worth treating your device with a little more care instead of misusing it.

The gist? Take care or pay the price.
